Every new patient begins with a full skin health assessment. It is just £75, and £50 is redeemable against any treatment or skincare, so it pays you back the moment you begin.

Using the Observ520x by Sylton, we capture a complete picture of your skin across multiple lighting modes, including pigmentation and vascular activity invisible to the naked eye. We then sit with you, face to face, and explain what we have found in clear, honest language.

After your appointment you receive a detailed written report with our findings, clinical recommendations and a personalised treatment pathway, yours to keep and refer back to throughout your journey with us.

The Technology

The Observ 520x
skin analysis reimagined

The Observ520x uses patented fluorescence illumination, including Wood's lamp simulation, alongside cross polarised and parallel polarised light. Across multiple lighting modes it reveals skin conditions that are completely invisible to the naked eye.

Pigmentation & Sun Damage

True UV and dedicated pigmentation modes reveal melasma, sun damage and sub surface pigmentation that has not yet surfaced, letting us treat concerns before they become visible.

Hydration, Pores & Texture

Surface texture, fine lines, pore size, hydration and sebum are all assessed in detail, the building blocks of a clear, radiant complexion and the basis of your homecare plan.

Vascular & Redness

The vascular mode maps redness, rosacea, thread veins and inflammatory activity, helping us understand your skin's sensitivity and reactivity before recommending any treatment.

Collagen & Elastin

Cross polarised imaging reveals deeper layers and the distribution of collagen and elastin, a key indicator of skin ageing and the basis for many of our regenerative treatments.

Porphyrins & Congestion

Fluorescence reveals porphyrins, the by products of P. acnes bacteria, along with sebaceous congestion invisible under standard lighting. This is essential for accurate acne assessment and planning.

Every assessment concludes with a detailed, personalised report sent directly to you, including your images, clinical findings and tailored treatment and homecare recommendations.

Observ520x Analysis

Using the Observ520x, we capture detailed imagery of your skin across multiple lighting modes, from daylight and polarised light to True UV and Wood's lamp fluorescence. The process is quick, comfortable and entirely non invasive.

Findings & Discussion

Nicola reviews the imagery with you in real time, explaining exactly what she can see and what it means for your skin. No jargon, just clear, honest, expert conversation.

Your Report & Plan

Within 48 hours you receive your detailed personalised skin health report, complete with images, analysis, homecare advice and your recommended treatment plan.

Do I need to book a consultation before any treatment?

Yes. Every new patient begins with a full Observ520x skin health assessment before any treatment. This protects your safety and lets us design a plan that is genuinely appropriate for your skin and Fitzpatrick type, so your results are optimised from the very start.

How long does the consultation take?

Please allow approximately 60 minutes for your initial consultation. We never rush. This is a thorough appointment, and we want you to feel completely informed and comfortable by the end of it.

When will I receive my report?

Your personalised skin health report is sent by email within 48 hours of your appointment. It includes your Observ520x images, Nicola's clinical findings and analysis, homecare recommendations and a proposed treatment plan for your consideration.

Is the consultation suitable for all skin types and ages?

Absolutely. The Observ520x works across all skin tones, types and ages. Whether you are in your twenties seeking to understand and protect your skin, or managing more complex concerns later in life, the assessment provides valuable insight for everyone.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my assessment?

Please come with a clean face, free of make up, moisturiser and SPF if possible, as this lets us capture the most accurate imagery. Bring a list of any skincare products you currently use, along with details of previous skin treatments if relevant.
